Rentaro Taki was a Japanese composer and musician who lived from 1879 to 1903. He is best known for his compositions for koto and shamisen, as well as his arrangements of Western classical music for traditional Japanese instruments. Taki's music is often characterized by its use of traditional Japanese melodies and rhythms, combined with Western harmonies and instrumentation.
