Guitar Gangsters

Guitar Gangsters are a veteran punk rock trio formed in London in 1988 by brothers Pete and Phil Ley, along with Steve Brewer. Emerging from the remnants of The Untouchables, they crafted a sound rooted in melodic power punk influenced by iconic bands like The Jam, The Ruts, Ramones, and The Sex Pistols. Their debut album *Prohibition* quickly became a sought-after release, helping them gain attention and leading to a UK tour with Stiff Little Fingers. Over the decades, they've released 11 albums and toured extensively across 28 countries, maintaining their signature blend of sharp guitar-driven punk rock with lyrics reflecting urban life, social politics, and personal struggles.

Still active today, Guitar Gangsters continue to thrill audiences with energetic live shows and new recordings that stay true to their melodic punk roots. Their long career is marked by a steady output of albums like *Fortune Favours the Brave* (2022) and *Sex & Money* (2017), along with recent releases such as *The Faithful* EP (2024). Known for their infectious melodies and anthemic songs, they hold a respected place in the UK punk scene and are often mentioned alongside other influential post-punk guitar bands from the late '80s and '90s.
