Shed Seven

Shed Seven is a British alternative rock band hailing from York, originally formed in 1990. The band achieved significant popularity during the Britpop wave of the mid-1990s, alongside other UK acts such as Oasis and Blur. The original members consisted of Rick Witter (vocals), Joe Johnson (guitar, keyboards), Tom Gladwin (bass), and Alan Leach (drums), with Johnson soon replaced by Paul Banks. Known for their energetic live performances and a string of catchy singles, Shed Seven built a dedicated fanbase with hit tracks like "Chasing Rainbows," "Going for Gold," and "She Left Me on Friday."

Despite initially disbanding in 2003, Shed Seven reunited in 2007 and have been active ever since, though their presence in the music scene is more nostalgic than akin to their '90s heyday. They continue to tour and release new music, including the album "Instant Pleasures" in 2017, which was their first studio album in 16 years, and "Going For Gold (Deluxe Edition)" which offers a retrospective on the band's storied past. Their catalogue, featuring releases such as "Talk of the Town" and "Another Night, Another Town (Live)," signifies that Shed Seven is committed to staying connected with their fans, delivering the anthemic indie-rock choruses they have always been loved for.
