Kontrafakt

Kontrafakt is one of the most influential hip-hop groups to come out of Slovakia, and they've been shaping the region’s rap scene since the early 2000s. Formed by rapper Rytmus (Patrik Vrbovský), DJ Anys, and Ego, the group quickly gained attention with their energetic performances and sharp lyrical style, blending street-savvy rhymes with high-quality production. Their debut album, E.R.A., released in 2004, became a landmark moment for Slovak hip-hop, establishing them as key players in the genre.

Over the years, Kontrafakt has maintained a strong presence with multiple chart-topping albums and viral singles, consistently pushing the boundaries of Eastern European rap. Known for their dynamic live shows and stylish visuals, they've cultivated a loyal fanbase across Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and beyond. Tracks like "JBMNT," “Navždy,” and “Reklama na Rap” showcase their evolution while reaffirming their roots in hard-hitting, authentic hip-hop.
