With Honor is an American hardcore punk band hailing from Connecticut, whose energetic and melodic style has won them a dedicated following within the hardcore community. Formed in 2002, the band is known for blending the intense energy of hardcore with uplifting melodies and a focus on positive lyrical themes, often centered around personal growth, perseverance, and the importance of family and friends. The band consists of members Todd Mackey (vocals), brothers Jay and Jeff Aust (guitar and bass, respectively), Jack Caron (guitar), and John Ross (drums).
During the mid-2000s, With Honor made a significant impact on the hardcore scene with their debut release "Heart Means Everything." However, they announced a hiatus in 2006 before reuniting in 2008 and then finally going on an indefinite hiatus in 2009. In 2021, they delighted fans with remastered versions of some of their most influential work, including "Heart Means Everything" and "Rethink, Return," breathing new life into their highly regarded back catalog. The band's portfolio, also featuring "This Is Our Revenge" and a split EP with The Distance, serves as a testament to their legacy and the enduring appeal of their brand of spirited hardcore. Despite their intermittent activity, With Honor's contributions to the hardcore punk scene have made a lasting impact, resonating with a new generation of fans and keeping the spirit of the early 2000s hardcore movement alive.
