Enon

Enon was an eclectic indie rock band known for its unique blend of punk, rock, and electronic elements, which earned them a cult following in the underground music scene. Originating from the creative mind of John Schmersal, following the dissolution of his previous band, Brainiac, Enon was formed in 1999. The band's lineup over the years included notable members such as Toko Yasuda (formerly of Blonde Redhead) and Matt Schulz, who contributed significantly to the group's sound and evolution. Their debut album, "Believo!" released in 2000, set the tone for their innovative approach to music, blending catchy melodies with experimental sounds.

Over the years, Enon continued to push the boundaries of indie rock with a series of critically acclaimed albums. "High Society" (2002) further established their reputation for crafting infectious, genre-defying tracks, while "Hocus Pocus" (2003) and "Lost Marbles and Exploded Evidence" (2005) showcased the band's ability to seamlessly integrate electronic music with punk energy. Their final studio albums, "Grass Geysers...Carbon Clouds" (2007) and the compelling singles collection "Starcastic" and "In This City," cemented Enon's legacy as innovators and stalwarts of the indie music scene. Despite their eventual disbandment, Enon's music remains influential, continuing to inspire a new generation of musicians and fans with its inventive sound and creative ambition.
