Peedi Crakk

Peedi Crakk, born Pedro Zayas, is a Philadelphia-bred rapper who rose to prominence in the early 2000s as a member of the rap collective State Property, which was led by Beanie Sigel and affiliated with Roc-A-Fella Records. Known for his energetic delivery and raw lyrical ability, Peedi made a name for himself with standout verses on tracks from the State Property albums as well as features on Roc-A-Fella releases, including the hit single "Flipside" with Freeway. His signature style, often punctuated by the ad-lib "Crakk!", has garnered him a dedicated fan base.

Despite a series of legal troubles and label disputes that sidelined his career at various points, Peedi Crakk has maintained a dedicated underground following through a steady stream of releases that showcase his lyrical prowess and street-savvy commentary. Among his more recent work, tracks like "Big Leather Face" and "No Picks" reaffirm his place in the Philly rap pantheon, while collaborations such as "Take Me Home" with Megan Rochell exhibit his versatility. Continuously evolving as an independent artist, Peedi has managed to adapt to the changing landscape of hip-hop while remaining true to the gritty, unapologetic sound that first put him on the map.
