You Blew It!

You Blew It! is an American emo band hailing from the vibrant music scene of Orlando, Florida. Formed in 2009, the group swiftly became a significant name in the emo revival movement of the early 2010s, carving out a niche with their intricate guitar work, introspective lyrics, and earnest vocal delivery. The members, hinged around the core foundation of vocalist and guitarist Tanner Jones, have been quite dynamic, seeing several lineup changes throughout the years while maintaining a cohesive sound that resonates with their fanbase.

Their debut album, "The Past in Present," released in 2010, was a solid foundation that quickly drew attention in the underground music scene. The band's ability to weave vulnerability with a certain punchiness in their music has been more prominently showcased in their 2012 full-length, "Grow Up, Dude," which solidified their place in the genre. The follow-up release, "Keep Doing What You're Doing" in 2014, continued to draw acclaim with its refined musicianship and emotive storytelling. Delving deeper into their sound, You Blew It! released the mature and textured "Abendrot" in 2016, which saw the band exploring more dynamic and atmospheric territory. Though they've navigated through the ebbs and flows of emo's popularity, the band's authenticity and dedication to their craft shine through in their recorded output, including cleverly titled EPs like "Pioneer Of Nothing" and whimsical projects such as "You Blue It," a nod to influential indie rock band Weezer. As they move forward, You Blew It! stands as a testament to the evolving sound of modern emo, while still tipping their hats to the raw emotionality that defined the genre's earlier years.
