Central Line

**Central Line** was a vibrant British funk and soul crew that lit up dancefloors in the late '70s and early '80s. Hailing from London, they carved out a space in the UK’s jazz-funk scene with their slick grooves, punchy brass sections, and infectious energy. Tracks like "Livin' It Up (World of Fantasy)" and "Walking Into Sunshine" became club staples, blending disco sparkle with streetwise funk. The band’s 1981 album *Breaking Point* (which includes the strutting anthem "I Like The Music Pumping") solidified their reputation as hitmakers who knew how to get bodies moving. Though they disbanded by the mid-'80s, Central Line’s music remains a time capsule of an era when funk ruled and London’s underground parties thrived on raw, joyous rhythm.
