Hand To Earth

**Hand To Earth** is a collaborative Australian music project that bridges Indigenous traditions and experimental soundscapes. Led by Yolngu songman Daniel Wilfred (known for his work with the band Black Arm Band) alongside multidisciplinary artists David Wilfred and producer Rohan Rhoades, the group interweaves ancient Yolngu songlines, *bilma* (clapsticks), and vocal techniques with ambient electronics and field recordings. Their work, including releases like *Ŋurru Wäŋa* and *Mokuy*, channels ancestral stories of Arnhem Land’s Yolngu people while exploring modern textures, creating a haunting dialogue between heritage and innovation. Their music often reflects environmental themes, spirituality, and the resilience of First Nations knowledge, released through platforms like Room40 to amplify Indigenous voices in contemporary global contexts.
