Strippers Union

**Strippers Union** is a Canadian rock side project formed by Craig Northey (of Odds) and The Tragically Hip’s guitarist Rob Baker. The duo began collaborating in the mid-2000s, blending Northey’s sharp songwriting with Baker’s gritty, textured guitar work. Their sound mixes laid-back alt-rock grooves, wry humor, and storytelling—think pub-rock camaraderie meets studio-polished craftsmanship.

After dropping their debut album, *Local 518*, in 2007, they surprised fans with a long-awaited follow-up, *The Deuce*, in 2021, featuring tracks like “The Undertaking,” “No Rain Tonight,” and “We Are the Underworld.” Despite their main band commitments, Strippers Union thrives as a playful creative outlet, showcasing their chemistry through riff-driven tunes and lyrical wit. They’ve carved a niche as a low-key supergroup for fans of Canadiana rock with a twist.
