The Porter's Gate is a collective of musicians and songwriters who have come together with a shared purpose of creating music deeply rooted in scripture and liturgy, with a focus on themes of worship, work, and rest in a modern context. This ecumenical project was founded in 2017 by Isaac and Megan Wardell with the intention of creating songs that would foster communal singing in churches and other Christian communities across denominational lines.

Through their albums and singles – including "New Every Morning," "Sanctuary Songs," and "Christ is Lower Still" – The Porter's Gate is known for blending traditional hymnody's rich lyrical depth with contemporary folk and soft rock musicality. They explore various facets of Christian life, emphasizing the holiness found in everyday work ("Worship for Workers"), the centrality of communal support ("Sing Over Me"), and the need for spiritual reflection in a fast-paced world ("Slow Me Down").
