Erik Grip is a Danish singer and songwriter, born on July 2, 1947. He is known for his work in the folk genre, often performing his own compositions alongside traditional Danish materials like viser (or vise) and hymns. Early in his career, Grip was part of the folk duo Erik & Annemarie, and he went on to found the folk venue Vognhjulet in 1974. His music has been involved in significant social issues, such as the anti-nuclear movement, with his 1976 single *Sig Nej Nu* (Say No Now) being a notable example. Recently, Grip has released several albums, including *Jeg Er Her Endnu* (I’m Still Here), which was reissued in 2023 to celebrate his 60th anniversary as a performer.
