Johanne Flottorp is a talented Hardanger fiddle player from Åmli in southern Norway, born on May 27, 1991. She began playing the fiddle at the age of six under the guidance of Salve Austenå and continued her musical journey through Sørlandet spelemannslag and the Norwegian Academy of Music, graduating in 2017. Her music often reflects the traditions of Tovdal, Setesdal, and Telemark. Flottorp has been recognized for her work, winning the Folkelarm Award for her debut album in 2018 and being nominated for the Norwegian Grammy. She is also active in various musical groups, including Raabygg and Flottorp/Solberg, and plays in the Americana band The Northern Belle.
