Memory Garden

Memory Garden is a Swedish doom/power metal band that's been delivering epic, melody-driven heavy music since forming in 1992. Hailing from Örebro, the band carved out a niche with their blend of crushing riffs, haunting atmospheres, and soaring vocals, drawing inspiration from classic acts like Candlemass while adding their own progressive twists. Fronted by vocalist Stefan Berglund and guitarist Simon Johansson (also known for his work with Wolf), the group gained traction in the late '90s underground metal scene with albums like *Tides* (1996) and *Mirror* (1999), showcasing their knack for balancing melancholy doom with bursts of power metal energy.

After a hiatus in the 2000s, Memory Garden returned with renewed vigor, dropping crowd-pleasers like *Carnage Carnival* (2012) and *1349* (2016) – the latter featuring fan-favorite tracks like "The Empiric" and "Verdict of Posterity." Their sound evolved to include modern progressive elements while staying rooted in those massive, headbang-worthy grooves. Though they’ve never chased mainstream trends, their dedication to craft has earned them a loyal following among doom enthusiasts and metal traditionalists alike.
