Simon Park

Simon Park is a British composer and musician, best known for his work with the Simon Park Orchestra. Born on March 13, 1946, in Market Harborough, England, Park studied music at Worcester College, Oxford. He gained fame with the Simon Park Orchestra for their rendition of "Eye Level," the theme tune for the TV series *Van der Valk*, which topped the UK Singles Chart in 1973. Park has also composed music for various TV shows and films, including *Whodunnit?*, *Danger UXB*, and *Eskimo Nell*. He has contributed extensively to the De Wolfe music library and has released albums such as *Simon Park & His Orchestra, Volume 1* and *Volume 2*.

Park's work spans multiple genres, and his music has been featured in recent productions like *Ever After* and *Shaun of the Dead*. He has also used the pseudonym Simon Haseley for some of his compositions. Despite his extensive contributions to music, Park remains most celebrated for his orchestral arrangements and his iconic theme music from the 1970s.
