Arrogant Worms

The Arrogant Worms are a Canadian musical comedy trio known for their satirical and humorous songs that often poke fun at various aspects of Canadian culture and daily life. The group, consisting of Mike McCormick, Chris Patterson, and Trevor Strong, formed in 1991 while the members attended Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario. Gaining notoriety for their live performances, The Arrogant Worms quickly developed a dedicated fanbase, drawn to their witty lyricism and engaging stage presence.

Over the years, The Arrogant Worms have released an impressive catalog of albums, showcasing their distinct brand of comedic folk music. Some of their most notable works include "Dirt!" (1999), which features amusing ditties on mundane subjects, and "Toast!" (2004), an album that further cemented their place in the pantheon of comedic musicians. Their more recent projects, such as "SPACE" (2014), continue the tradition of lighthearted satire with songs about outer space and beyond. In 2021, they delivered what is playfully termed the "First Farewell Album," hinting at a cheeky reluctance to firmly commit to any notions of retirement. Whether celebrating the quirks of Canadian life or exploring the absurdities of the human experience, The Arrogant Worms have carved out a unique slice of the music world, delighting fans with their reliably entertaining and self-deprecating humor.
