Shcuro

Shcuro is the alias of João Ervedosa, a talented DJ, producer, and graphic designer based in Lisbon. He is also the founder of the record labels Sombra and Paraíso and creates music under another alias, Jose Acid. Shcuro started his musical journey early, getting familiar with DJ equipment at the age of 15 and eventually producing his own beats. His music often explores a blend of moody techno, industrial sounds, electro, and breakbeat, drawing inspiration from Portuguese rave culture of the mid-90s, particularly from clubs like Alcântara-Mar and Kremlin. Some of his notable works include the hypnotic 6-track EP "Particle of Memory," which was released on Dark Entries. This EP showcases his unique sound, combining elements of contemporary dance music with retro influences, and features tracks like "Afterlife" with vocals by London's ELLES.

Shcuro's releases reflect a consistent evolution in his style, blending dark, futuristic vibes with energetic rhythms. His discography is a testament to his creativity and influence, shaped by both global electronic trends and local Lisbon culture. His work has been released on various labels, including Basal, Circus Maximus, and Obscuur Techno, showcasing his versatility and dynamic approach to electronic music.
