Having started his music journey in the 1960s, Kićo quickly gained attention in Yugoslavia with his performance at the Split Festival, which led to his participation in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1971 with the song "Tvoj dječak je tužan," securing a respectable 14th place. His popularity soared as he continued to release hits that showcased his talent for creating emotive melodies and lyrics that resonated with a wide audience. Kićo’s discography includes beloved songs such as "Zbog jedne divne crne žene," which remained a staple on the Croatian music scene.
