She has performed extensively with major orchestras, including the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra and the Ulster Orchestra, and has given numerous first performances of new works. Her recordings have helped revive forgotten Irish composers, such as George Alexander Osborne and E.J. Moeran. Una Hunt is also an award-winning broadcaster and producer, focusing on rediscovering important Irish composers and performers. She has been recognized with several distinctions, including an honorary Doctor of Music from Queens University Belfast and an honorary professorship at University College Dublin.
