The Calidore String Quartet is a powerhouse ensemble that's been making waves in the classical music world since 2010. Founded at the Colburn School in Los Angeles, these four talented musicians have racked up an impressive list of accolades, including grand prizes at major US chamber music competitions and the prestigious $100,000 M-Prize in 2016.
Known for their virtuosic playing and dramatic instinct, the Calidore has performed in top venues around the globe, from Carnegie Hall to Wigmore Hall. They've released several critically acclaimed albums, tackling works by composers from Beethoven to contemporary voices like Caroline Shaw. The quartet is currently based in New York City and consists of violinists Jeffrey Myers and Ryan Meehan, violist Jeremy Berry, and cellist Estelle Choi.
