...But Alive

…But Alive was a German punk band formed in Hamburg in 1991, known for their politically charged lyrics addressing issues like right-wing extremism, environmental pollution, animal rights, and social justice. The band was founded by Marcus Wiebusch (vocals, guitar), Hagen van de Viven (guitar), Frank Tirado-Rosales (drums), and Jörg (bass), with their debut album *Für uns nicht* released in 1993. They were active throughout the 1990s, touring as a supporting act for the band Slime and releasing politically potent music until their split in 1999.

Marcus Wiebusch, a key figure in …But Alive, later went on to form the indie band Kettcar and co-found the influential independent record label Grand Hotel van Cleef. …But Alive is remembered as one of the important bands in the German punk scene of the 1990s, blending raw punk energy with socially conscious lyrics.
