Michael Haydn, the younger brother of the legendary Joseph Haydn, was a prolific composer in his own right. Born in 1737, he spent much of his career as the Kapellmeister at the Salzburg Cathedral, where he composed a vast repertoire of sacred and secular works. Michael's music is known for its melodic charm, rhythmic vitality, and expressive depth. He was particularly skilled in writing for the human voice, and his choral works are among his most enduring contributions to the classical music canon.
