Jan Kåre Hystad, often referred to as "Hysen," is a Norwegian jazz musician renowned for his skills on the saxophone, clarinet, and flute. In Bergen, he has worked as a freelance musician, led his own ensembles, and been involved with the Bergen Big Band and Den Nationale Scene.
