Native People is a rising indie rock band from Los Angeles, California. Formed in 2018, the band consists of vocalist and guitarist Nick Bearden, bassist and vocalist Max Becker, and drummer and vocalist Matt DeMerritt. Their music is characterized by its dreamy, atmospheric soundscapes, introspective lyrics, and soaring melodies. Native People's debut EP, "To Lose What," was released in 2020 and was met with critical acclaim. Since then, they have released a string of singles, including "Call Me," "Don't Save Me," and "Calm Forever," which have further solidified their reputation as one of the most promising new bands in indie rock.
