Storyhill is an acoustic folk-pop duo made up of singer-songwriters Chris Cunningham and John Hermanson. Originally from Bozeman, Montana, the duo first began performing together in the late 1980s and quickly built a passionate fan base with their tight harmonies, heartfelt lyrics, and dynamic live performances. Known for a sound that blends elements of contemporary folk, Americana, and singer-songwriter traditions, Storyhill has cultivated a loyal audience through grassroots touring and a series of well-loved recordings.
After an initial run that lasted through the 1990s, Storyhill disbanded in 1997 but reunited in the early 2000s, much to the delight of longtime fans. Since their reunion, they’ve released a number of acclaimed albums, including their self-titled 2007 release on Red House Records. With introspective songwriting and a strong stage presence, Storyhill remains a cherished part of the American folk scene.
