Palace Of Pleasure

Palace of Pleasure is a Norwegian electronic music band from Oslo, formed in 1994. They are known for their unique sound, often described as "dubby electronica." The band made their debut with the album *Release The Pleasure* in 1996 and have since released seven albums, including *Emperor Norton* (1997), *Popaganda* (1999), and their latest, *Undarkness* (2022). Both *Emperor Norton* and *Popaganda* won Norwegian Grammy Awards (Spellemannprisen) in the dance/techno category. The band has toured extensively in Norway and Europe, performing at major festivals like Roskilde, Quart, and Øya. Current members include Sigmund Floyd, Stian Torstenson, Justin Newall, and Jørund Skaug.

The band's music style is influenced by various genres, and they have also been involved in producing music for television, collaborating with performance artists, and writing for children's radio dramas. Their name is inspired by the PC game "Madam Ching's Palace of Pleasure" from 1989. Palace of Pleasure continues to evolve and innovate within the electronic music scene, maintaining a loyal following with their distinctive sound.
