Vladimir Gorbik is a Russian-born composer and conductor who has dedicated his life to preserving and promoting the sacred music of the Russian Orthodox Church. Born in Moscow in 1954, Gorbik studied at the Moscow Conservatory and later became a conductor at the Moscow Patriarchate's choir. In 1990, he emigrated to the United States, where he founded the St. Tikhon's Orthodox Theological Seminary Choir in South Canaan, Pennsylvania. Under Gorbik's leadership, the choir has become renowned for its exquisite performances of traditional Russian Orthodox hymns and liturgical music.
