Quartetto Bazzini

The Quartetto Bazzini is a string quartet dedicated to celebrating the works of Antonio Bazzini, a renowned Italian composer and violinist from Brescia. Formed in 2010, the quartet aims to rediscover and promote Bazzini's forgotten repertoire, along with other classical and contemporary pieces. The ensemble is composed of violinists Lino Megni and Daniela Sangalli, violist Marta Pizio, and cellist Fausto Solci, all of whom have ties to the cities of Brescia and Cremona, Italy. They have collaborated with notable artists and participated in various musical events and concerts, including performances in Milan, the Canton region of China, and exhibitions in Cremona.

Quartetto Bazzini has released several albums, featuring works by Bazzini as well as contemporary composers. Their recordings include Bazzini's String Quartets Nos. 1, 3, 2, 4, and 5, and a project with arrangements by Astor Piazzolla. The quartet's repertoire spans classical to contemporary music, with a focus on Italian quartet music and chamber works by other composers like Luca Natali Stradivari. Their performances have received acclaim for style and energy, contributing to the renewal of interest in lesser-known Italian composers like Bazzini.
