The Nukes

The Nukes are Aotearoa's original and beloved ukulele trio, celebrated for their vibrant performances and eclectic original music. Formed in 2008, the group initially consisted of David "Fingers of Fire" Parker, Ben "Country Boy" Collier, and Dave "Snapper" Thiele. Known for their blend of humor, musicality, and family-friendly entertainment, they have become a staple in Australasia's folk and ukulele scene. Over the years, they have performed at numerous festivals, including WOMAD NZ and the Auckland Folk Festival, and have gained a reputation for their engaging live shows. The original members went on a hiatus before reuniting, now joined by Jay P and Dave's son, Josh, bringing new musical possibilities while maintaining their signature harmony and humor.

Their recent works include albums like *Homespun* and singles such as *These Birds* and *Elephants Are on the Moon*, showcasing their innovative approach to ukulele music. The Nukes also conduct workshops in schools, focusing on ukulele playing, percussion, singing, and performance skills, making them a favorite among audiences of all ages.
