The Tape Recorders

The Tape Recorders are a four-piece indie rock band from Los Angeles, California. Formed in 2008, the band consists of vocalist and guitarist Sean O'Brien, bassist and vocalist Matt Sharp, drummer and vocalist John O'Brien, and keyboardist and vocalist Matt Maust. The band's sound has been described as a mix of indie rock, folk, and psychedelic pop, with influences ranging from The Beatles to The Velvet Underground. The Tape Recorders have released four full-length albums, including their most recent, "Anything and Everything," which was released in 2023. The band has toured extensively throughout the United States and Europe, and has shared the stage with bands such as The National, Wilco, and The War on Drugs.
