Liza Lehmann (1862–1918) was an English composer and soprano, best known for her art songs and vocal works. Initially trained as a singer, she performed in concerts across England before shifting her focus to composition. Lehmann became especially well-known for her song cycle *In a Persian Garden*, which set verses from *The Rubáiyát of Omar Khayyám* to music. She also composed numerous charming art songs, children's songs, and vocal quartets, as well as theatrical and choral works. Her music, often light and lyrical, remains a delightful example of Edwardian-era English song.
