Remco Hakkert

Remco Hakkert is a Dutch singer, conductor, and composer, known for creating predominantly Christian music. Born in 1965 in The Hague, Hakkert studied at the Stedelijk Conservatorium in Zwolle, graduating in 1990 with a focus on piano and vocals. During his studies, he was involved in leading the youth choir Jedaja. In 1994, he gained recognition by winning a talent competition with his composition "Hold Me" on the Gospel Platform by the Evangelische Omroep, which led to performances with the Metropole Orkest and The Continentals. Hakkert has been a regular guest on the television program "Nederland Zingt" and has contributed to several music projects, including collaborating with Angelique Koorndijk. Since 2014, he has worked with the Evangelische Omroep as a music compiler and presenter.

Hakkert's music career spans various albums and live performances, reflecting his dedication to Christian music. His involvement in projects like "Woorden van waarde" and his participation in the EO-Gezinsdag in 2007 highlight his contributions to the genre. Some of his notable works include "Dan Zingt Mijn Ziel" and "Kom Tot de Vader." His discography reflects a strong commitment to his faith and his musical craft.
