Lostbone

**Lostbone** is an Austin-based rock trio that emerged in 2018 with a moody blend of alternative rock and post-punk revival. Composed of vocalist/guitarist Jake Vela, bassist Marisol Reyes, and drummer Dex Carter, the band cut their teeth in Texas’ DIY scene, earning a reputation for raw, riff-heavy tracks and introspective lyrics that tackle themes of alienation and self-discovery. Their self-produced early EPs and relentless local gigs built a cult following, culminating in their 2023 debut album *Severance*, which features recent singles like “Not Your Kind” and “Ominous.” Known for their brooding energy and Vela’s raspy vocals, Lostbone leans into a stripped-down, garage-rock aesthetic while maintaining an air of mystery—they rarely do interviews and let their music (and cryptic album art) speak for itself.
