Bialystocks is a Japanese alternative rock duo formed in 2019. The band consists of vocalist Sora Hokimoto, an up-and-coming film director, and pianist Go Kikuchi. They initially came together to perform live for the film "Haruneko," which was directed by Hokimoto and produced by Shinji Aoyama. Their music is known for blending folk-inspired melodies with jazz influences, creating a unique sound that's both broad and original.
Since their formation, Bialystocks has gained recognition in the Japanese music scene. They released their indie debut album "ビアリストックス" (Bialystocks) in 2021, which included the song "I Don't Have a Pen," featured in an NTT Docomo web commercial. In 2022, they made their major label debut with the album "Quicksand" under Pony Canyon/IRORI Records, marking a significant milestone in their career.
