Wolfmother

Wolfmother is an Australian rock band that formed in Sydney in 2000. Fronted by lead vocalist and guitarist Andrew Stockdale, the group initially gained notoriety for their retro sound that pays homage to classic rock and heavy metal stylings of the 1960s and 1970s. Their energetic brand of music is marked by distinct riffs, psychedelic influences, and a raw edge reminiscent of bands such as Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, and Deep Purple.

The group's self-titled debut album exploded onto the international music scene in 2005, featuring hits like "Woman" and the iconic "Joker and the Thief," which solidified their place in the modern rock pantheon. Over the years, Wolfmother has experienced several lineup changes, with Stockdale being the constant member and driving force behind the band's creative output. Their recent releases, including tracks like "Stay A Little Longer" and "High On My Own Supply," continue to showcase their ability to blend vintage rock sounds with modern sensibilities, keeping their music fresh and relevant. Wolfmother's dynamic performances and unapologetic embrace of classic rock roots have earned them a loyal fan base and a respected spot in the contemporary rock landscape.
