Eskimo Joe

Eskimo Joe is an Australian rock band hailing from the suburb of East Fremantle, in Western Australia. The band, which was formed in 1997, consists of core members Kavyen Temperley (vocals and bass), Joel Quartermain (guitar and keyboards), and Stuart MacLeod (guitar). Known for their captivating melodies and powerful hooks, Eskimo Joe quickly secured a place in the Australian music scene with the release of their debut studio album "Girl" in 2001. As they evolved, the trio developed a more sophisticated sound, which is evident in their critically acclaimed work "A Song Is A City" (2004) and the multi-platinum selling album "Black Fingernails, Red Wine" (2006), which established them as a force in the Australian rock industry.

Over the years, Eskimo Joe has consistently delivered a string of successful releases. The band is celebrated for their energetic live performances, which led to a remarkable collaboration with the West Australian Symphony Orchestra for a live concert at the Perth Concert Hall. Their ability to adapt and evolve their music is proved by wide-ranging projects, from the reflective mood of "Wastelands" (2013) to revisiting their greatest hits with an orchestral twist. As they entered into more than two decades of music creation, Eskimo Joe marked a milestone with the "Black Fingernails, Red Wine (Anniversary Edition)," paying homage to their impact on the Australian music landscape. Their enduring appeal is also illustrated by recent singles such as "99 Ways" and "Say Something," which showcase the band's knack for combining lyrical storytelling with an infectious blend of pop and rock.
