The Late Twos
**The Late Twos** are an Austin-based indie rock duo known for their gritty garage rock energy and sun-soaked psych-surf vibes. Formed in 2018 by multi-instrumentalists Alex Carter and Jamie Lyle, the pair started as a lo-fi bedroom project before evolving into a live act praised for its raucous, sweat-drenched shows. Their 2020 self-titled EP introduced their scrappy, reverb-drenched sound, while recent singles like “Sail Away” and “Get Down Before I Pull You Down” showcase their knack for pairing snarling guitar hooks with lyrics that skewer modern anxieties. Though rooted in Texas’ DIY scene, their mix of ’60s garage nostalgia and modern indie urgency has earned them a cult following far beyond the Lone Star State.
