The Unguided

The Unguided is a melodic death metal band originating from Sweden, best known for their seamless fusion of harsh growls, clean vocals, and electronic elements within their heavy yet melodic soundscapes. Formed in 2010 by Richard Sjunnesson after his departure from Sonic Syndicate, a band he co-founded with his younger brother Roger Sjunnesson who also joined The Unguided, the band's lineup was further solidified with the inclusion of vocalist and guitarist Roland Johansson — also a former member of Sonic Syndicate — and drummer Richard Schill. The Unguided's music is characterized by its lyrical narratives that often touch upon themes of inner battles, defiance, and resilience, a signature element that has garnered a dedicated fanbase.

After their formation, The Unguided hit the ground running, establishing their presence with a string of successful releases that showcased their distinct sound and the potent synergy between the former Sonic Syndicate members. Their discography is marked by powerful releases like "Father Shadow," which is known for its fierce energy and intricate musicianship. Their latest offerings, such as "Stand Alone Complex" and "Never Yield," continue to solidify their reputation as a force within the metal scene, unafraid to explore both aggressive and melodic domains. With "616" and "Crown Prince Syndrome," they persist in their evolution while maintaining the band’s stylistic core. Through energetic tours and a steadfast commitment to building their legacy, The Unguided has accumulated respect and admiration from metal enthusiasts across the globe, forging a brotherhood among their fans as evidenced by the song "Brotherhood" itself.
