Ragnar Finsson

Ragnar Finsson is a talented musician from the Faroe Islands, known for his work as a guitarist, singer, and songwriter. He has a rich background in folk music, which he has honed through studying folk music in Malmö, Sweden. Ragnar began playing music at a young age, initially experimenting with his father's acoustic guitar, which led him to develop an interest in folk and roots music. He has worked extensively as a session and studio guitarist, performing and touring with various artists. Ragnar has released several singles and is now ready with his first full album, "As The Sun Sinks Down." His music often explores existential themes, drawing listeners into a deep, reflective experience.

Ragnar Finsson has also been part of the band Raske Drenge, with whom he toured Europe and won the Flanders Folk Music Award for "Best Live Band." Under his own name, he released an EP as HORRSE in 2021, earning him a Faroese Music Award for "New Name of the Year." His recent releases include tracks like "Føgur er foldin" and "kanst tú fylgja mær?" Ragnar's musical journey is marked by a blend of tradition and innovation, making him a compelling figure in the music scene.
