Carried Away

Carried Away is a Canadian contemporary Christian pop group from Ontario, formed in 2000 by sisters Pam and Colleen Walker along with their cousin Christine Prankard. The trio drew inspiration from the Sonicflood song "Carried Away" and connected with producer Otto Price to launch their debut album, *Closer to You*, in 2005. This album brought them two number-one hits in Canada and two GMA Canada Covenant Awards. They followed up with *I Want You* in 2007, earning multiple Covenant Award nominations and winning Pop/Contemporary Song of the Year for the title track.

After Colleen Walker left in 2008 and was replaced by Tyler Seidenberg, the group independently released *No Compromise* and a Christmas EP *I Saw Lights* in 2009. Though their activity slowed after 2009, Carried Away made a notable mark on the Canadian Christian music scene with their heartfelt lyrics and pop sound, blending inspiring messages with catchy melodies.
