Surgical Strike

Surgical Strike is a German thrash metal band that first formed in 1993 in Hannover. The band was founded by guitarist Michael Schiemann and drummer Jens Hamann, with vocalist Jens Albert joining early on. They initially released two demos in the 1990s but struggled to gain traction due to thrash metal's limited popularity at the time. After a long hiatus, Surgical Strike re-emerged in 2014 with a renewed lineup and energy, treating their comeback as more of a resurrection than a reunion since original members had changed. Their sound is characterized by fast, precise thrash metal with a melodic edge, featuring twin guitar harmonies reminiscent of classic acts like Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, and Queensrÿche. Vocally, Jens Albert delivers aggressive thrash-style shouting, setting them apart from many of their German thrash peers. The band released their debut EP "V:II:XII" in 2016 and continued to produce intense thrash metal with recent releases such as "24-7 Hate" and "Part of a Sick World".
