Enrique Urquijo y Los problemas

Enrique Urquijo y Los Problemas was a Spanish music project centered around the figure of Enrique Urquijo, who was originally known as the lead singer of the influential pop band Los Secretos. Formed in the early 1990s, the band served as a side project for Urquijo, allowing him a more personal and intimate outlet for his songwriting, set apart from the pop-rock style that had made Los Secretos famous. With a more introspective and melancholic approach to their music, the band's sound was characterized by a folk and soft rock influence that provided a perfect backdrop for Urquijo's heartfelt lyrics about love, loss, and life.

The group released their self-titled debut album "Enrique Urquijo y Los Problemas" in 1993, which received critical acclaim and showcased Urquijo's adeptness at crafting deeply affecting songs. Following up with "Desde Que No Nos Vemos" in 1998, they further solidified their presence in the Spanish music scene while preserving the emotional intensity that was becoming synonymous with their music. Tragically, Enrique Urquijo's life came to a premature end in 1999, leaving "Lo mejor de Enrique Urquijo y Los Problemas," a posthumous compilation album, to serve as a bittersweet reminder of his talent and contribution to Spanish music. The compilation album, bringing together some of the best tracks from the band's repertoire, underscored the poignant legacy of an artist whose poignant narratives and soul-stirring melodies continue to resonate with fans long after his passing.
