Madina Lake is an alternative rock band formed in Chicago, Illinois in 2005. The band consists of vocalist Nathan Leone, his twin brother and bassist Matthew Leone, guitarist Mateo Camargo, and drummer Daniel Torelli. They quickly garnered attention with their driving riffs, anthemic choruses, and a conceptual narrative that strings their albums together. Madina Lake's music often explores themes of love, adversity, and the human experience wrapped in a fictional storyline about a 1950s town.
The band's debut album, "From Them, Through Us, To You," was released in 2007 and propelled them to fame with hits such as "House of Cards" and "Here I Stand." They followed it with more narrative-driven projects like "Attics to Eden" in 2009 and "World War III" in 2011, which continued the tale within their music. After a hiatus and some personal tribulations including a near-fatal incident involving bassist Matthew Leone, the band triumphantly regrouped. In 2020, they released "The Beginning of New Endings," an EP that marked a robust return to form and continued to cement their place in the alternative rock landscape with tracks like "Playing with Fire" and "Heart of Gold." Their most recent releases reflect both a maturity in their sound and a continued commitment to storytelling and connecting with fans through emotionally charged music.
