Stephen Gould
Stephen Gould is an American heldentenor powerhouse who's become one of the most sought-after Wagnerian voices of our time. Known for his commanding stage presence and molten-bronze vocal timbre, he's spent decades thrilling audiences at major opera houses like the Metropolitan Opera, Bayreuth Festival, and Semperoper Dresden (where that live *Gurre-Lieder* recording originated). His recent releases showcase his specialty in Germanic repertoire - from Strauss' *Die Frau ohne Schatten* to Wagner's epic *Ring Cycle* operas, which he's performed in full productions worldwide.
A true marathon runner of the opera world, Gould’s career highlights include singing all three notoriously demanding tenor roles in Wagner's *Tristan und Isolde*, *Siegfried*, and *Parsifal* within a single week at the Wiener Staatsoper.
