Bruce Pullan is a highly respected figure in Canadian choral music, known for his innovative leadership and contributions to the genre. Born in England, Pullan was educated as a Choral Scholar at King's College, Cambridge, and New College, Oxford, before moving to Canada in 1974. He served as the Music Director of the Vancouver Bach Choir for 27 years, during which the choir performed with renowned conductors and premiered significant works. Pullan is also credited with founding the Vancouver Bach Children's Chorus as a special project of the Vancouver Bach Choir. His influence on the West Coast choral scene has been profound, earning him recognition for his dedication and energy in promoting choral music.
