Carlos Gomes
Carlos Gomes was a Brazilian composer born in 1836. He is best known for his operas, including "O Guarani" and "Lo Schiavo." Gomes' music is characterized by its use of Brazilian folk melodies and rhythms, and he is considered one of the most important composers in Brazilian history. He died in 1896.
