Tito Muñoz
Tito Muñoz is a dynamic American conductor known for his expressive interpretations of both contemporary and classical works. Born in New York City in 1983, he studied at the Manhattan School of Music and honed his craft as Assistant Conductor of the Cleveland Orchestra under Franz Welser-Möst. Since 2014, he’s served as Music Director of the Phoenix Symphony, championing new music while revitalizing orchestral staples. A passionate advocate for modern composers, he’s collaborated closely with figures like Michael Hersch, conducting deeply personal works such as *The Script of Storms*, *I hope we get a chance to visit soon*, and *End Stages & Violin Concerto*. His recent recordings, including *Coll: A Portrait* and *Liquid Symmetries: III*, showcase his adventurous spirit and commitment to expanding the orchestral repertoire. Whether leading emotionally charged premieres or reimagining classics, Muñoz brings a fresh, thoughtful energy to the podium.
