Elder Brother is an indie rock band formed as a side project by Dan Rose of Daybreaker and Kevin Geyer of The Story So Far. The band first emerged in the music scene with their debut album "Heavy Head" in 2014, which showcased an amalgamation of alternative rock, emo, and indie folk influences, a distinct departure from the member's punk-oriented main projects. With Rose’s warm vocals and Geyer’s intricate guitar work, Elder Brother quickly carved out their niche, earning acclaim for their introspective lyricism and melodic sensibilities.

Following their debut, the band continued to evolve and refine their sound with subsequent releases. "Stay Inside" (2018) and "I Won't Fade on You" (2020) further established Elder Brother's penchant for creating emotionally resonant music that resonates with a growing fanbase. The band also experimented with various formats, as evidenced in the EP "Nothing Means Nothing", and the stripped-back aesthetic of their "Wish You Were Here" release. With their latest offering, "Dead Formats, Vol. 1," Elder Brother continues to push the envelope, affirming their reputation as a band that isn't bound by genre constraints and is continually striving to explore new sonic territories.
