Warfarer

Warfarer is a Finnish melodic death/folk metal band that originated in Tampere in 2013. Known for weaving chilling tales of small people's great struggles amidst ancient myths, their music combines melodic death metal with symphonic elements, creating a ferocious blend reminiscent of the frosty Finnish landscape. One of their notable works is the concept album "A Tale Beyond the Pale," which delves into Finnish myths, such as the legend of the Brotherslayer. The band released the instrumental version of this album in 2025, allowing fans to immerse themselves in the music without vocals.

Warfarer's lineup includes Kalle Puutio on lead vocals and rhythm guitars, Seppo Kolehmainen on lead guitars, Klaus Telenius on bass, Tuomas Rahikainen on keyboards, and Julius Lehtonen on drums. Before their full-length debut, they had released an EP titled "Under The Frozen Star" in 2017. The band's style often draws comparisons to influential bands like Children of Bodom and In Flames, yet they maintain a distinct sound that blends melodic death metal with elements of power metal.
